Transpersonal Psychotherapy
Transpersonal psychotherapy is an integrative therapeutic approach which incorporates aspects of various psychological models. Within this experience of psychotherapy there is a consideration of the range of human experience, behavioural, cognitively, psychological, physiological and spiritually.
Through the willingness to explore our feelings and emotions there is an opportunity to get in touch with our whole self, and holistically incorporating an understanding of the interconnectedness of all aspects of our being. This exploration of one's inner world can lead to a greater understanding of one's self and free up our energies to engage with the world in a more spontaneous manner.
There is the opportunity if you wish to explore your feelings through creative means such as drawing, visualisations and through the body. Dreams often provide a gateway into as yet undiscovered aspects of yourself and you may gain much insight through exploring the symbols and emotions that guide you in your dreaming landscape.
There is no 'set' way of working in transpersonal psychotherapy, it is an exploration of yourself and your experiences which bring you to this stage in your life. It is a journey of discovery of who you were intended to be.
